How Is The AB-Tech Construction Curriculum Program Related To GIST? (Global Institute for Sustainability Technologies)
AB Tech’s Construction Management Technologies faculty collaborate with GIST by serving on their advisory board. However, our program, AB Tech Construction Science, offers in-depth job training for people looking to enter the construction industry. The Construction Science program has helped GIST by providing information about some of our sustainable construction projects which has been used to acquire grants which will help fund future endeavors.  GIST provides some funding for Continuing Education to offer introductory classes/workshops for non-degree seeking students and community members.  Classes offered through GIST and Continuing Education help people get acquainted with sustainability concepts and technologies.

For those who are interested in more in-depth training (certification and/or degree) to enter the construction industry or transfer related credits to a four-year college, our curriculum program would be for you.  The Engineering & Applied Technology curriculum programs offers in-depth training in several technology and construction related fields such as our program, Construction Science, which includes  Construction Management, Carpentry and Cabinetry; Electrical; HVAC; Computer-Aided Drafting Technology; Electronics Engineering Technology; Automotive Technology; Industrial Systems Technology; Machining Technology; Mechanical Engineering; Welding Technology and Civil Engineering.
